Rick Reynolds has been a passionate educator and developer of educational resources for over 20 years. The author of Marco the Molecule and The EverGreen Twins Activity Book, he had a blast illustrating the books, as well, though it was nice to have the assistance of the talented Cristina Watson for Marco the Molecule.

Rick has also created numerous curriculum resources for organizations such as SOLVE, PBS, Oregon Nikkei Endowment, Inspiration Software, and One More Generation. His sibling company, Engaging Every Student, provides a blog and training and consulting to schools, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.

While most of his professional life is now spent developing educational resources such as lesson plans aligned to standards, multimedia content, websites, and e-learning, Rick has taught nearly every grade and subject, preK-12. He is still a teacher in his heart and soul and is licensed in Oregon and Connecticut with these endorsements: Elementary, Middle Level, Social Studies, Technology Education, and Administrator. He holds a M.S. in Education from the University of New Haven and a B.A. in Geography from the Honors Program at the University of Connecticut.

In addition to helping educators and young people, Rick loves exploring the outdoors, gardening, tennis, community service, and spending time with friends and family, especially his lovely wife, Krista, and sweet cat, Neah. A Connecticut native, he feels fortunate to have lived in beautiful Oregon, where he enjoys exploring the beautiful landscapes Marco the Molecule and his friends helped to create.
