We created The Northwest Fur Trade: Cultures, Commerce, and Trade curriculum in collaboration with the National Park Service, the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Washington State University Vancouver, Friends of Spokane House, and other partners. It provides adaptable lesson plans with engaging activities to help students develop an understanding of the lasting impacts of the pivotal era for Native cultures, ecosystems, political boundaries, and more. Hands-on trunks are also available from Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.
